Mystic, Connecticut
Mystic, Connecticut is a centuries-old shipbuilding village and safe harbor for tall ships. It has developed diverse cultural and historic attractions highlighting its maritime past, and travelling a short distance will bring you to golfing, shopping, casinos, and beaches. If you have time (or can make time), be sure to take advantage of the opportunity to explore in and around this charming New England village (which, yes, includes Mystic Pizza!)

Downtown Mystic is home to a number of boutique stores. If you venture a little further out, Tanger Outlets offers a wider variety of brands.
Drinking
Local vineyards and breweries dot the area. If wines are your thing, check out Jonathan Edwards Winery, Saltwater Farm Vineyard, Preston Ridge Vineyard, or Maugle Sierra Vineyards. If you prefer craft beer, we’d recommend Beer’d Brewing Co., Bank & Bridge Brewing or Grey Sail Brewing
Beaching
Take advantage of the proximity of the Atlantic Ocean at the Misquamicut State Beach in Westerly, RI or along Long Island Sound at Rocky Neck State Park in East Lyme, CT. (Parking fees collected at both). For a closer, free (and smaller) option, check out Williams Beach in Mystic.
Eating
Mystic is home to a number of well-renowned restaurants, hosting great views and dining experiences that are perennial contenders for best of Connecticut. We’d recommend Bravo Bravo (Italian), S&P Oyster House, The Shipwright’s Daughter, or Red36
Sightseeing
Mystic has several historic and cultural landmarks - Olde Mistik Village, Mystic Aquarium, and Mystic Seaport. Guided tours are offered by a number of vendors.

Travel
For those of you with extended stays in the Northeast, Mystic is only an hour from Newport, RI, 1.5 hours from Boston, MA and 2.5 hours from New York City.
Casinos
Only twenty minutes away from the Mystic area are two of the largest casinos in the world - Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods.
Golfing
There are several public courses in the immediate area surrounding Mystic - Pequot Golf Club, Elmridge Gold Club, or Shennecossett Golf Course.
