Our Story

Erin and Russ met finally after several missed connections during Erin’s hectic 4-year OB/GYN residency training. They met after Erin’s 24 hour shift for drinks at a nearby “Speakeasy” bar on Sunday 12/16/2018, and quickly came to learn they lived less than a mile away from each other the entire time. After just a few dates, Erin won a raffle for two front row tickets to the touring production of Hamilton at the Bushnell Theater in Hartford, and decided to invite Russ as her date. .

Erin and Russ both knew they had found the right person and love after a snowy impromptu weekend trip to Burlington, Vermont in 2019.

In 2020, Erin’s training took her to Boston, MA for a 2-year fellowship in Pediatric Gynecology. Since then, both Erin and Russ have spent time between Boston and Hartford while also navigating the pandemic. In order to avoid any association with the negative events from 2020, Russ waited until 12:01 AM on January 1, 2021 to propose. Erin enthusiastically said yes, and both of them take credit for 2021 being the best year so far and can’t wait to be married in 2022.
